I think you know what i mean with the title of this post and the image above? If you're an SMARTBRO user, you can check your connection speed at speedtest.net and compare your result to the image above which is the result of my speed test last December 5, 2008.
If you're lucky, your result should be near on my download and upload speed result which is 3276 kbps for download and 367 kbps for upload or if you're not (that lucky) your speed result should be near 350 kpbs for download and 100 kbps for upload.
I know many of you feel shocked with the result of my SMARTBRO connection. Even me have feel shocked when seeing slow SMARTBRO connection with a 350 kbps download speed.
Are you asking what is my download speed when downloading a movie? In my experience, the fastest actual download speed that my connection got is 600+ kbps. Meaning, i downloaded a 700mb movie in less than 30 minutes. And can download a 5mb mp3 in seconds.
Okay, i hear you asked "How near you are in the SMARTBRO substation". My short answer is "How far", because I am 3.5 km away from the substation which is beyond the maximum allowed distance of the canopy to the nearest substation.
I just hope that all SMARTBRO users will have the speed like mine.

hi thank you for dropping my blog. Mine, last week i'm suffering from slow connections. Maybe because of the holiday fever but right now my connection is just doing fine.

I would say, "No to Smartbro." How slow? It's as slow as dial-up connection.
3276 kbps? Are you a SmartBro stockholder or employee with a dedicated IP and special bandwidth? How much are you paying for your connection?
I have been with SmartBro for a year and It'll be my greatest luck if my download speed will go beyond 350. I tested my connection recently with movie downloads and it takes 8 to 12 hours to download 700 mb.
Thankfully, the 1 year lock-in period will finally end and PLDT, Globe, and some local phone and cable companies have been agressively marketing their ISPs. We'd be looking at better alternatives to SmartBro in the very near future, that's for sure.
BTW, nice blog but this won't make a difference in customer satisfaction if the service sucks.
Presently all Smartbro subscriber cannot log-in to an online game called Cabal Extreme. How do you resolve this huh? Technical men of Smartbro?

I experienced that at all times, sometimes I got 700kBps!...using orbitdownloader...especially in the morning..I'm 200m away from a smart tower so my signal is always 5 bars...swerte lang talaga ako sa location ko maski sun ang lakas din dito sa amin...hindi ko pa naranasan madisconnect ng biglaan...fairview ang aking location...by the way I'm a smartbro prepaid user..sulit talaga pero sun naman itrtry ko kasi 50 pesos lang unli na isang araw...sawang sawa na ako sa kakadownload.
hi... ive been experiencing insanely slow connection since January 28, January 31 na ngaun gan2 parin.. kpapakabit lng nmen last oct 2009.. usually nmn 400-700 kbps ang speed ko... first time nanyre na gan2 ka Lag at slow ang connection.. anyone experiencing the same prob??? or know what happened or is happening??

smartbro speed test based on speedtest.net today 0.23mbps download and 0.05mbps upload. as fast as my pldtdsl when its working (promised speed of 1mbps - WISHED SPEED LANG ON ADVERTISEMENT). 20X FASTER THAN LOUSY DIAL UPS IN THE 1990s.
